I’ve never been much of a product photographer, but this colour way for the Nike Pegasus Trail 5 GTX really got my attention. Plus, I just got a fresnel lens attachment for my lights and thought I'd put both through their paces (the shoes won't be camera ready ever again after the first run.)I'm still getting the hang of controlling the lighting, plus small details add up. In a lot of the shots the laces and pull tabs just wouldn't behave.I used a glass living room table to stand in for ice. If I were to do this again, I'd probably leave the table a bit streaky and dusty. The shots after I cleaned it just felt too... clean?

The most substantial challenge to overcome in this piece was filming in adverse weather conditions at night. Even with rain covers, every exterior shot required periodic lens checks as wind gusts would blow rain unpredictably.
