Plus, I just got a fresnel lens attachment for my lights and thought I'd put both through their paces (the shoes won't be camera ready ever again after the first run.) I'm still getting the hang of controlling the lighting, plus small details add up. In a lot of the shots the laces and pull tabs just wouldn't behave. I used a glass living room table to stand in for ice. If I were to do this again, I'd probably leave the table a bit streaky and dusty.
